OT: I borrowed a Netflix DVD, mailed it back and they didn't get it
#1
I knew this would happen. He was going on a business trip for a week and dropped it off here. I put it in my rural mailbox last Tuesday, destined for the depot 120 miles away, and he doesn't have his new one. They told him they never got the one from me.

He loaned me a Brother MFC-8500 he wasn't using and the drum went out. He loaned me an iBook he wasn't using and the hard drive had the click-of-death. Now this.

Does Netflix take your word that it was mailed and send what's in your que as if nothing happened?

Log into the Account, and go under the Account Options.
There is a way to have them send the next DVD, while the other one is "lost."

Enjoy.

In 2 or 3 years I have been a member, two DVDs failed to make it to Netflix. All you have to do is have the account holder log onto his account and tell them it apparently got lost in the mail. They have a dialog for doing this on ling. They will forgive the loss of a couple since it could very well be the fault of the USPS, but the reserve the right to terminate the account if it appears to be a habit. I don't know if they eventually charge or not when the member terminates his account.

I had a whole shipment of three not show up. Reported them lost in the mail and they turned up a couple of weeks later (only going an hour down the road). But over my two years with them I think I reported 5 without troubles. I've since stopped my service with them.

Yes, up to a point. I don't know what that point is.

I've reported two no shows. You have the option of having them send a replacement. In your case, they'd just be notified that they were returned.
