Ever see the episode of CSI where the principal killed the bully because nothing else
did any good and he was ruining some good students. That was fictional of course
and she went a bit far but there were times in school went those thoughts did cross
folks mind. Being 6' and weighing 130-135lbs. I took my share of ribbing in high
school. Personally if someone bullied one of my sons badly in school I'd go after the
parent/parents not the school system.
As I said the other day, everyone please just try to get along. I think everyone here is an adult.

[quote elmo3][quote BigGuynRusty]I report the bullies and stalkers all the time.
The "Mod" told me to take legal action, so I did.

Bull $hit.
You aren't even close to being a bully (you don't have the power), or a stalker, your an idiot, not a nutjob.
In fact, your funny as fucque! (To the Mods, FUCQUE is a proper last name, just because something sounds the same, doesn't make it the same!)

It used to be, you hit the bully back, and he generally quit bullying.
Now, you hit the bully back, and you land in jail.
That's a pretty simplistic view of the matter. How does that "hit back" thing work when a testosterone-poisoned jock bullies someone who is physically in no position to fight back? What about verbal harassment and constant psychological abuse?
The parents of bullies need to be told what their kids are doing. Kids who continue to bully should be expelled, whether they are hot sports prospects or not. Some parents excuse it by saying something moronic like "I was bullied, so what, it's a rite of passage". I don't know how you break that cycle of abuse, but there have to be ways.
BTW, someone was just complaining here recently about "baby boomers" being bullies in the work place, as if it were generation-specific. Bad workplace behavior of that sort is just a subtler form of the hazing and bullying that occur in schools or in the military or in fraternities/sororities.
We need to make a serious, concerted effort to teach our kids (and outselves) to interact with civility. But we won't.

Recently saw on TV where a family court judge was really getthing through to kids who were brought into her court. No matter what the offense - suspended driver's license, take away cell phone, computer, Tivo, Playstation etc. The driving thing really got to older kids, she told them they HAD to ride the school bus to/from school. For a "cool" kid, that has to be torture. LOL

Nice try at moving away from the topic at hand.
You're full of it. You have never been "bullied" by anyone here, and you didn't get advice to "take legal action," and you've never taken legal action.
Anyone who takes legal action because of some words glowing on a screen is mentally incompetent.

Unfortunately, that is often the case. But with most school districts, they may have 10 things that need to be addressed, but funding (if any) for only a small few. The one that can lead to lawsuits and public uproar gets addressed. (my wife's best friend is an elementary school teacher in the poorest district in Washington State)

The DOD schools my children attend have had a bullying policy for the past three years.
The children are given training on what to do when they are being bullied and the schools have zero tolerance policy concerning bullying.
I wholeheartedly support the policy.
