The little strips are nice and grippy. I got the white and black one.
How many of you iPhone owners have bought AppleCare for it?
Got an iPhone case that I like

Knew you were referring to the CandyShell as soon as you mentioned the grippy strips. That's one of the better iPhone cases out there.

Ka,
My wife had a Speck Candyshell for her phone. Good basic protective case. Not rugged enough for me but definitely one of the better cases out there. Robert

Second to the KX nuguard candyshell is my favorite. Otterbox almost got it right with the commuter series.

I admit to being a bit nervous about walking around with the naked iPhone. This case doesn't add much bulk, and I feel like there is far less chance of the phone slipping while I'm pulling it out of wherever it is stored.

That's exactly what I have (in green and grey) for my iPhone 5S.

Carm,
My wife replaced the Candyshell for her iPhone 5 with an Otterbox Commuter. There was nothing wrong with the Speck case. She just wanted something different. No doubt, she'll feel the same way about the Commuter and go back to the Candyshell or find something else entirely - lol! Robert

How easily can you remove it from a pocket? I have the bias that grippy cases make depocketing annoying. We're 3x NuGuard KX cases from our fair sponsor in the Zealand household.

I just recommended this case on the forum the other day! For my latest, i got the Speck case that holds 3 credit cards/IDs as well as the phone. Wonderful for nights out when i don't need a wallet!

That's a nice case.
I've never bought AppleCare for a 'Phone. For me, a good case is all the AppleCare I need. My favorite 'Phone form factor is that of the 4 and 5 series. All of them have been more slippery than I care for, but those two series were less so. No matter how slim a case may be, the 'Phone always feels much slimmer when it's removed. Slip protection is generally more important to me than drop protection. I carried my 4s with only shields for the front and back. My favorite case was the NuGuard but it didn't work with the glass protector I added later. |
