SpaceX: One more milestone down... "Pad Abort" test - Passed.

Simulating a "Emergency Escape from on top of a burning rocket", the Dragon (sitting on top of a dummy interstage), successfully fired its Super Draco thrusters, deployed 'chutes, and came to rest just off shore.

That's one more milestone down before the "Manned" Dragon can carry humans.

I want to see them use the thrusters to land next.

You're in luck... that's on the slate of tests, since they're planning to land using the thrusters, not parachutes (the 'chutes are for emergencies). Not sure when those tests are planned.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next 1st stage landing (June, I think).

The last info I read from Gwen Shotwell was that they were going to attempt a landing on land.

Yup... It appears that they got FAA clearance, since all of the stages after the first try were within however many meters of their target. So next time they can crash it on LAND! :-)
