Mac Coupon Printer: safe to use or not?
#1
Saw wife yesterday typing my admin password, when asked her what she was doing, she admitted that she was installing that "Mac Coupon Printer". We had that on her old MacBook, but I did not re-install it. She didn't complain for 3 years, now she found some coupon and wanted to print it....

is there any spyware/malware in that coupon printer?

Thanks

Space,

I had Mac Coupon Printer on my system for a while. Never any issues with it. This was a few years ago, though. I took it out when I realized I wasn't printing coupons.

Some scanners catch it as adware/malware, but I haven't observed it doing more than crashing browsers. It's more cr@pware. And it's way obsolete.

Any site still using it is filled with such lazy irresponsible coders that I'd avoid the site and its "coupons" on principle.

Why not just take a screenshot and print it?

you never see the coupon. It goes directly to the printer, and you can only print ONE. Unique code. If you make a copy, it does not work.
