Brother MFC printer for $48 shipped (for most)

I like this one as it uses generic ink - just DON'T do the latest FW update, or generic inks won't work anymore (at least that is what some are saying). Inks for this printer run about $1 each here.

I have not had an inkjet for years but this is a good deal for those who want to print color. My girlfriend's HP printer gave up this weekend and this one was on our radar and I snagged one. She (and her daughters) print 10-20 pages a day and having the added bonus of IOS printing and scanning is great, especially for under $50.

10-20 pages per day? You should have bought those Epsons that come with ink tanks that you refill with a bottle. Or get cheap generics for this brother.

That is exactly why I bought this printer specifically, that it uses generic inks. Her daughters are in school and they get their daily homework assignments online and print them out.
