Apple iMac prices- did I miss the memo?

I priced a near full boat 27" 5K iMac at the Apple Store a couple of days ago- i7/8G/2T/M395X/MagicMouse 2 and it came to $2999.

I just did the same thing and now it comes to $2799.

What am I missing?

512GB flash would make the difference.

Huh.

I hadn't been considering a flash drive, at least not consciously.

The game play is to get a 2T Fusion, when the time comes.

But maybe flash is the way to go, to appreciate maximum snappiness.

We'll see what happens later this year.
