Domain Redirect or Mirroring?

What is my preferred option for a reference domain, e.g.

ThisIsMyMuchTooLongUrlAddress.com

to have

timmtlua.com

get the casual user there?

We've got www.anchoragecommunityhouse.com currently, which is rather unwieldy on mobile devices and also have www.anc-house.com currently set up to redirect to our WP driven site - but am I better off with a mirror instead of a redirect, or is it six of one, half dozen of the other in the end?

A permanent 301 redirect.

A temporary 302 redirect would seem to do the same thing, but has SEO/Google ranking implications.

Definitely a redirect is preferred rather than mirroring.
