Am I the only one who can't get AirDrop to work? Or is it just as useless for everyone?

Should I turn off wi-fi after using Airdrop or just leave it alone? Should there be a performance hit for using both networking schemes? I'm certain sired ethernet is better than wi-fi.

I suggest leaving WiFi on even if you connect ethernet. It will not cause any problems.

Works seamlessly most of the time.

When it does not work and you've got it available to "everyone" then close all windows, flip WiFi off/on on each device and try again.

...The "Older devices" option covers not just Pre-2012 Macs, but also older Mac operating systems.
