Why does cafepress hate blacks? (Where can I get an image printed on a black t?)

I was curious if anyone knew of a competitor of cafepress that allowed printing on black t-shirts.

Yeah, I know a place that will do that. Keep in mind it usually costs more to print on black as it takes either a couple hits or white has to be put down first. PM me info on what you're looking for (or post here.)

A white shirt can be printed on very easily, with transfer material run through a standard color printer of some kind.

A black T-shirt requires a white layer first, or else is screen printed.

M A V I C and elmo have it right. Most screen printers charge more for printing on dark colored shirts. I can recommend a promotional products person in your area if you can't find someone on your own. PM me.

Can you find where you can make your own? I can't. Its not listed.

Actually we have a store and have a black t-shirt listed:

but since the wife does it all I am not sure where to go to make your own.

Also it appears they have added cardinal red (though it was news to us).

I will say that I know the setup was a real pain for the black shirts compared to the white.

When I had some black T's printed with some of my normal fabric designs, I noticed that the extra white layer did add a thicker feel to the artwork.
So when you're wearing it, you will notice a sweatier comfort level under where the artwork is compared to the same artwork printed on a white T shirt.
