I have the older version of this drill, http://www.hitachi-koki.com/powertools/p...10dal.html
I like the drill quite a lot. I've had the drill for about 5 years but certainly don't use it every week or month. But the 2 batteries it came with are now dead. I'm not beholden to the OEM, name brand (Hitachi) batteries, since these 2 didn't impress me with longevity, and to be clear, I am not referring to how long a charge lasts.
Is there a particularly good aftermarket brand or store for batteries like these?
Mine are BCL1015 and there's a slightly less powerful BCL1015S. There's supposedly a twice-as-powerful (longer lasting) BCL1030 but I've never seen any. Online, they're all about the same price (BCL1030 3rd party ...)
I'm good with BCL1015 (they don't last long, about 25 minutes) because they also charge up pretty fast.
Not interested in trying to "revive" or "jumpstart" them.
Of course, an entirely new kit (with impact, bag, new charger, new drill, some bits ... is $100.
