Does Mitch live in Utah? I guess he does now.

Somebody noticed yesterday afternoon that he changed his Twitter location from Massachusetts to Utah.

Mormons consume caffeine. It's hot drinks they avoid.

Mormons avoid caffeine, that's pretty well known. Mitt famously felt guilty a couple of times during the campaign when caught sipping a cola.

On Wednesday (Aug. 29), the LDS church posted a statement on its website saying that “the church does not prohibit the use of caffeine” and that the faith’s health-code reference to “hot drinks” “does not go beyond (tea and coffee).”

Mitt is very good at adjusting his residence to meet election requirements. His residency for election to Governor of MA was questionable, he had sold his house here when he headed out to Salt Lake City to head up the Olympics. Part of the argument the election commission accepted was that some personal items he had stored in the basement of one of his kids houses showed a connection with the state and intent to return.

Of course, once in office one thing that contributed to his having a very low rating at the end of his term was how much time he spent outside the state.

Sounds like Joseph Smith just felt like writing his own version of Leviticus.
https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testam...lang=eng#0 I guess it ain't really a "Bible" unless it has food and drink restrictions.

Your misunderstanding is very common, I got embarrassed when I hosted a morning meeting including a lot of Mormons and served only herb tea, which they of course wouldn't touch. Because they avoid hot coffee or tea, people think it's caffeine, It's not. Coke is fine.

It's more complicated than that. Some Mormons won't drink coffee or tea, but will drink other hot drinks like hot cocoa or herbal tea. Some Mormons do avoid caffeine because it's considered a drug.

Some Christians, Hindus and Pastafarians may avoid caffeine for the same reason, but it's not part of their religious doctrine. Same for Mormons.
Maybe Mitt helped a lot of Mormons when the church had to clarify that for everybody. The media frequently says Mormons must avoid caffeine, so often that apparently some Mormons think it's true too. It's not.

I only looked it up when that story of Romney ran during the election, and it had not yet been clarified. I guess I won't be seeing him at the local Dunkin' Donuts for a number of reasons
