I would like the current generation Powerbooks to get really cheap so I could maybe talk myself into one. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. A lot of other people may have the same idea, or they may not have much supply left since the new ones don't ship right now.

Yes, this is a great report and voiced some concerns I had also....Sounds like software is going to be a problem for a while.
Guess I'll buy more Google stock......

Right now I think there are a lot of potential buyers waiting on the sidelines like me. It only makes sense to wait for the early adopters to fill us in the obvious blank areas that Steve didn't talk about - Windows dual boot capability, battery life, why are the g5 iMacs still the same price when they have inferior graphics cards, how long until pro apps come native, what happened to the much touted 64 bit velocity engine advantage of the G5, is core audio and core video still supported, etc, etc.
I would say that some developers will wait on the sidelines as well, until all their questions are answered. But it looks like we will have those answers about 6 months before we thought we would have them and thats a good thing.
