To answer your original question, we have used Peapod on occasion. It's definitely convenient, but you do pay for that convenience. In addition to the delivery charge, we sort of feel obligated to tip the driver, as well. So that's another $5.00 on top of the $7 (or $10) delivery fee.
But here's my biggest problem with it. If I look through the flyer that comes in the mail or in the newspaper, I expect to see those sale prices reflected online. Well, they're not. It's like a whole other shopping experience. If you know the prices you normally pay at the store, you'll notice that almost all the online prices are a tad more, unless an item is on sale online, which will probably not be the same thing on sale in the store. Get it? Confusing, and a bit of a pain in the butt. It's annoying to me to run into the store the next day for something I forgot to order, and see something on sale that I just paid a couple of dollars more for online the previous day.
That said, there are times when the convenience is worth it. And they do a pretty good job selecting produce, etc. Friendly, courteous drivers, too, in our experience.
Another option if you're in MA (which I'm assuming you are) is Roche Bros. http://www.rochebros.com/. They have online shopping as well which I've been tempted to try because There is no need to feel obligated to offer a tip as our delivery people are discouraged from accepting gratuities.
