Do all PCI-USB cards cause wake from sleep problems in G4 Mac's?

Reason I ask is: I recently added one to my G4/733 and it immediately started refusing to wake from sleep. The only way I can wake it is to push the StartUp button on the CPU and rather than shutting down - this wakes it up.

Anybody know - is this a problem with all PCI-USB cards? Or is it card specific ? And is there a fix?

many people who reported USB PCI card problems had them go away when they upgraded to 10.4 or higher. Certain cards don't play well with certain models.

To be honest, I would pick one out from OWC that has specifically been approved for use in your machine and the description states that it has no deep sleep issues. That way if there are any problems, they will either help you figure it out, or take it back and probably pay for the return shipping, as their description was erroneous.
