anyone use wetransfer to move files larger than email?

someone sent me a zip folder via wetransfer.

i like them.

anyone use them and want to share their thoughts?

Because of my business, I sometimes to need to send/receive files too large for email. There seems to be many free services for transfers up to 5gb and none better or worse than others. Recently, I've used pCloud (pcloud.com).

I've sent many large files with them over the years. Never a problem.

If you use apple mail and iCloud, it will automatically send the file to iCloud and a link to recipient via maildrop

wettransfer is too many steps, imho.

using dropbox is far easier... just copy the file into your dropbox, right click "copy dropbox link" and the paste into your email.

No web browsers, no extra uploads and same for whomever you are sending it to.

Wetransfer works well. Just type in my e-mail, the recipients email and send.

I've used them over the years to receive VO WAV files from Brazil for videos I was doing and 3D assets from the UK. Never any issues and worked well. Their use was initiated by my vendors overseas.

I used WeTransfer a few times for large files with no issues.

I'm a part time DJ and use it occasionally to get music from various Artists and Labels or other DJs (remixes or edits).

Works great most of the time. The one small glitch I had recently was the sender sent two tracks as a ZIP - when I downloaded the file and double click (or open directly in UnArchiver) it just created another ZIP.

That day I found that if you click on the description of the file in the window - you could download each file individually.
