Any tips on removing tree sap from a metal roof?
#1
The Internet has lots of suggestions for removing tree sap from cars (hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol).

Any ideas on a product that can added to a pressure washer to get tree sap off of a metal roof? I’m hoping something like a natural orange, citrus cleaner can be added to the pressure-hose mixture to spray on, degrease, and spray off in one go.

Thanks, Todd’s sticky keyboard

they';d do the job, but dunno if their molecules would be small enough to fill thru the sprayer. Kind of viscous stuff.
Iso 70% does work great with a tiny bit of elbow.
Just wash it down after on painted and sealed surfaces

Its by guess that if it can do the job then you probably don't want to be shooting it everywhere.

Mayonnaise gets it off cars. I think the category that comes under if vegetable oil.

Just guessing here, but maybe some sort of pre-wash/soak spray containing a reasonable percentage of citric acid, depending on the composition of the metal roof and/or its coating (if any). Then the power washer oughta do its thing.

oxalic acid might work.
