After helping them win 2 SB, Eli Manning gets benched

Jeebus. Wealthy Gorilla needs to hire a writer...or at least a proofreader.

as a NYG fan, and someone who has seen Eli grow into a two-time Suer Bowl winning QB, Eli's regular season record now stands at .500.

he has as many wins as loses.

the NYG over the past three seasons have been less than a quality football team.

Eli's days in the NFL have a limit.

that limit is now more obvious.

it was hinted at when they took the kid from Duke with their number one pick this past college draft.

the NYG's slow start (0-2) suggests the 2019 season is on the verge of collapse.

maybe give Eli another week?

maybe give the kid a start so that Eli can catch a breather.

the NYG are not a good football team.

the starting qb will make little difference.

two games in and the season is already done.

yikes!

C'mon man. You gotta keep rooting.

I felt a bit better when I read this about the author: "Emmy Wallin is a writer for Wealthy Gorilla. She is a young Swedish girl from Uppsala, who is currently traveling around the world. Emmy has a big passion for helping others and motivating people." An editorial look would have been useful!

It seems like it is time. I know there is all this talk about Eli being HOF maybe even first ballot, but what I can't figure out is how many times, if ever, was he a top 5 QB in the league, in any season? Brady/Payton/Brees/Rodgers/Favre all overlapped and all are obviously way better + there are many other good QBs during that time.

He's lost more games than any other active QB.

But he's 2-0 in Superbowls.

Take a seat Manning, next stop Canton. I say this as a Cowboys Fan.

I will always love Eli for the fact that the stinking Patriots do not have two more Super Bowl trophies. The fact that my Giants ruined their perfect season is icing on the delicious cake. That 2007 SB was one of the best Super Bowls, if not THE best.

The team stinks right now, and has for several years. Ben McAdoo was a decent coordinator but a terrible head coach. Jerry Reese, the former GM, made lousy personnel decisions for years. in the past two years, they have let some major talent get away. Their defense this year is non-existent. Might was well see if Jones is the guy they think he is, even though they can't win much with the lousy defense and sketchy receivers.

Off THIS topic, but speaking of Superbowls ...

I became a Packers fan when my folks moved to Wisconsin while I was in college during the Bart Starr era and my folks got me marginally interested in Packers football. I was in grad school at Kansas State the year of the first SB, GB vs KC. An extra credit question on one of my psychology final exams was to define "stacked defense."

One guy demanded he get the credit because he knew that Stacked Defense had nothing to do with psychology (although some of the efforts to make it so must has been a source of amusement for the professor).; it was the secret weapon KC was going to use to beat the Pack. We know how THAT worked out.
Go Pack!
(and now some of my tax money goes to tax breaks for the Colts so I watch them too)

Now back to the original topic.
