anyone own a Ford/Mercury/Mazda hybrid?

I'm thinking of the Escape/Mariner/(whatever). anyone own one of these? or, have you test driven any? (SteveJobs, this is a softball!)

We owned a 91 Escort - a Ford/Mazda hybrid.

And we own a Villager - but that is a Mercury/Nissan hybrid.

The Mazda version of the Escape is the Tribute. I think they killed it last year.

I believe he meant hybrid as in gas/electric, not cross branding.

My sister drives a hybrid Highlander. Very disappointing in mileage. Dealer said she has to change driving habits. You know egg under your foot. Baloney. I drive like that on my older guzzler and I save. I drive slow out of safety and fear and get decent mileage. My sister should be Indy 500. They would not have a chance.
