easy way to convert/save .ODT docs to PDF ?

pretty much sums it up. don't have Word. would rather not use an Adobe product but can if it's the only (and best) thing.

You can probably do it using LibreOffice. Not MSFT or ADBE

.odt is a native LibreOffice format.

Open the file, under the 'File' menu is the option to 'Export As >'
Choose 'Export As PDF...'

Open it in LibreOffice and save it as a PDF.

Also, anything you can print in OSX you can make a pdf out of. Hit print, and choose an option from the pdf dropdown in the lower left of the print window.
