Very cleaver. Of course, a jock-strap is meant to breath so not all that effective. Your best bet is to get a roll of shop towels (auto parts store, big box hardware, etc.) and make masks from that. Most common household items are knitted whereas shop towels are not.

My wife made one using a reusable bandage (for her leg) and the sleeve of a T-shirt. Not very effective given the nature of the fabrics.
