Netflix DVD's, so many are damaged
#1
I have really enjoyed receiving netflix discs over the years but this year has almost broken my patience with them. Every single disc I receive requires multiple cleaning and polishing sessions and of course there's nothing to be done about the scratches. Frustrating when it's so much easier to just hit a website and download the movie.

....that is the problem with dvds......same for library dvds.......the older dvds can be damaged.....frustrating when you are watching a season for a TV show but a disc doesn't work or skips for a specific episode......

.....probably why some people prefer streaming........

I've always had pretty good luck with them. So far this year, I've only had two bad discs. I usually go at least a few months between bad ones.

Yes, scratches suck. I had a lot of that too. It got worse as the years went by. Polish pad and polish compound. The stuff they make for headlights.

Going to resume converting DVDs/Blu Rays to Digital format for streaming locally on my network. I jumped on the digital codes services (iTunes, Movies Anywhere, Vudu, Google Play, Amazon, and Fandango since they are acquiring Vudu. (A lot of my movies had digital codes). Some retailers are a little nuts $15-20 for a digital version of a movie. No thanks. My cap is $8, low end it’s $2 (that’s what pay for from Vudu : $2 D2D conversation, might be going away). I pay $3-8 from online code sellers and $5-8 from retailers when the movies go “on sale”.

This week Disney Nature has their nature series starting at $7.99 in Digital HD.
