Speaking of D-Day--General Eisenhower Visits Normandy On It's 20th Anniversary
#1

Ran across this while at the History Guy channel. Walter Cronkite in a CBS Reports program from 1964 (it's 90 minutes long) visits Normandy and other places with Dwight D Eisenhower who talks about D-Day--leading up to it the event itself and other items. He talks about Omaha beach and how everything went wrong and it was the GIs who pulled it out of the fire. He gives the reasons why it was actually a good thing the airborne troops landed all over the place.

Did not think I would watch much of it but wound up watching all of it.
