Do you blanch your corn before you freeze it?

Corn on the cob doesn't last long enough around here to even consider freezing. We only buy enough for immediate use; it's better that way.
We do keep a bag, or two, of store bought frozen corn to add to salsas and sauces, or muffins, or cornbread as needed/desired. Freezer space is just too valuable to freeze fresh corn on the cob. ==

We (by "we" I mean mother-in-law who keeps us stocked) cook sweet corn fully then scrape it off the cob into freezer containers.

Same here. I wouldn't think of having more than enough on hand to consume over two or three days.

I do. I put it in boiling water, bring it to another boil and leave it in there for a couple of minutes. I only do enough to have some for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a real treat. Delicious reminder of summer.
