Waste streams.. recycling in this country is broken because governments demand it be profitable. It’s NOT, what it does is reduce the solid waste which reduces disposal costs.

We're getting ready to move from one county that has single-stream recycling where they recycle almost all plastics, as well as paper, cardboard, aluminum, etc all in one big container, to another county that only does paper and #1 and #2 plastic and it must be separated. Ugh.

Not sure how any of that impacts pickup delays due to snow, where the garbage trucks are being used to plow and sand the roads instead of their normal pickup schedule.
