For those interested in the fine print of the Russian military problems, this article by a US officer from November pointed out that the Russians do not have the logistics train they need to get more than 90 miles or so from a Russian railhead. They simply do not have enough trucks. Their operations and training in country rely heavily on rail. (Moreover, I did not realize that they do not use standard gauge rail.)

He assesses that the Russians would send in light forces to try to topple the Ukrainians. And that marshaling heavy forces are limited to the structure of their logistics and would take some time.

It is interesting that this is exactly what we have seen. And this guy wrote in November.

I saw this morning that a drone took out a fuel train from Belarus overnight...

I don't think Ukraine has changed their rail system since the dissolution of the USSR. Did they disconnect the tracks?
