... not classified as a variant of concern (yet), but... the fact that it exists IS worrisome. Likeliest due to recombination between strains in a co-infected individual, and remember that various coronavirus strains account for about 10-20% cases of the common cold.

I see many people in the community have gone back to pre pandemic lives but I don't think this thing is through with humans just yet.

Nope, it hasn't. Down here, I'm starting to see some indications of increased infections, post-Mardi Gras.
