I forgot which other city this applies to, but the local law enforcement of that city said that no laws were broken, and since, in that cities case, the signs were on private property, that unless a complaint was called in, they wouldn't do a damn thing as the signs were completely harmless.

Those in Seattle were completely ignored as being harmless. They weren't even mentioned in the local news as being noteworthy until the asshats in Boston went off the deep end.

I live in Mass. and am embarassed at the stupidity displayed by the over response in Boston. Its not like they had just been put up, I saw one of them and knew it for what it was when I saw it on a trip into Boston a bit before this happened. Unfortunately, the idiots in charge will do their best to justify and rationalize the over-reaction, and in the process convince enough persons to vote them back into office next election.
