Turn your toilet into an aquarium!
#11
[quote billb] I wonder about the temperature changes due to the inrush of cold water affecting the little fishies.

Looks like the Aquarium part is separate from the Toilet tank but seems that the tank would heat up and cool down from being adjacent to the cold water needed for the toilet. It is acrylic so it may work for Goldfish, but for Saltwater - NOT!

I wonder if the Air Pump (white box below toilet rim) for the Undergravel Filter is battery operated or electric (I don't see a cord). Seems that Powerheads would be more efficient.

Also does the $299 price tag include installation?

My toilet gets neglected as it is.
To add more cleaning chores there (seat or no) just doesn't wash nor appeal to me.

Nice idea, though.

Surface area to water volume (temp swings)doesn't look appealing for [some] fish keeping either.

I don't think such a setup engenders the respect that people should have for their pets.

Agree with the above-- these are living things, not ornaments.
Even with a heater the temparature fluctuations will result in disease, and also can result in spinal deformities in some fish (e.g. livebearers).
