Mac desktop keeps asking for Apple ID every time I boot into a different system on a different internal drive
#1
I've got 2 internal drives in my 2019 Mac Pro, the original drive has Catalina and is primarily used for Pro Tools audio recording. I added a second boot drive, an Accelsior 1M2 from our sponsor that currently has Big Sur and is used for Adobe Photoshop work, MS Office and anything else.

Every time I boot into either disk I have to reenter my Apple ID, sometimes multiple times, and deal with 2FA being received on my mobile devices and going back to the Mac Pro.

I don't remember having to deal with this when booting into different drives on my 2009 Mac Pro years ago. Could this have to do with iCloud syncing and is there any way to get around this always happening?

I'm afraid this is normal... I get those too when booting older Macs all the time.

kinda thought so, it's a major PITA if you just want to boot into the other drive for a few minutes to do something quick and then switch back.
