Acer Chromebook C740-C4PW with broken hinge

I search and I see that there is plentiful hinges that have broken on these Chromebooks. And what I remember on fixing them, seems to be quite a complex procedure.

Any thoughts, on how to treat a broken hinge.?

if it were me, I'd just buy a used replacement

I've replaced hinges on macs and it wasn't fun
