Good news that should have never been needed. Terminated shipments of life saving nutritional supplement for starving ch
#1
MRF member johnny posted about shipments of a nutritional supplement sent to save starving children in Africa and other countries had been canceled in the wake of Musk's meat cleaver purges.

However, thanks to reporting by CNN, Musk was forced to reverse course, and the shipments were reinstated late Sunday night.

"The CEO of a plant in Georgia that makes a special peanut butter paste for severely malnourished children around the world told CNN that his company’s contracts with the US Agency for International Development that had been abruptly canceled last week were all reinstated late Sunday night."

So many kids are allergic to peanut butter here in the US, but it's a life saving nutrition element over there... I wonder if their allergy rates are much lower than ours.

Munchausen syndrome by proxy? Damage the government so you claim to be the savior when you fix it?

Isn't Marco Rubio the one who selectively cancelled the USAID contracts?

I know his former colleagues in the Senate have been all over his butt, hope they keep the pressure on.

Peanut allergy is one of those maddening examples of the quirkiness of the immune system. There is evidence that low level exposure to peanuts can facilitate babies developing a tolerance for peanuts, thus reducing the likelihood of later developing a life-threatening level peanut allergy.

The immune system is extremely complex and children with different genetic configurations may have different susceptibilities to either tolerance or allergy.

I believe the current best practice is to try small amounts of peanut paste at an early age and to closely monitor the reaction.

Disclaimer: talk to your doctor/allergist before making any decisions about exposing infants to potential allergens.

Sorry, but this begs the question ....

Is there anyone left to distribute this?

Probably not, but I can see Trump going over there and throwing jars of peanut butter. Like he threw paper towels in Puerto Rico.

I’m pretty sure our rates are lower than ours.
