Any word on our sponsor selling upgrade modules for the M4 minis yet?

I don't see a point in spending $180 more for a meager 256 GB storage increase, but if you need that under warranty, I suppose it makes sense.

Larry said these other upgrades appear to be made of reused SSDs from Mac or iPhone pulls. He implied OWC doesn’t have a source of new.

Gabester,

Fortunately, you can still boot these models from an external SSD. We recently purchased an M4 Pro/24GB/1TB. It's external boot drive is a 1TB NVME SSD in an Envoy Pro SX enclosure. Very easy.

Adjusted a setting on the machine, nuked and paved and installed the most recently flavor of Sequoia on the external. Rebooted and made it the startup disk. Used Migration Assistant to bring everything over to it from the external boot SSD of a 2014 iMac running Mojave.

I anticipated issues but came across none at all. Obviously, there was stuff on the newly created boot drive that was unusable under Sequoia. Just deleted it all since there was no point in keeping it on the machine.
