So can I just set my Time Zone to Eastern?

I'm running 10.4.3 and had plannned to stay here. Stable. No problems.

But now DST is here and my time is off by an hour.

I tried manually setting the clock to the correct time rather than using the time server, but this caused an offset with apps like my TV guide widget.

I can't find any way in the OS to manually set DST on or off.

Can I simply set my time zone from cental to eastern until we catch up with old DST?

Can anyone think of a pothole that I'll step in with this workaround?

I use "My Way" for tv listings and had no problema. Best web site other than this on the net. Takes a little customizing but the tv listings and pet pictures rock. Select "Today" on the choices.

Apple Software Update about a week ago had fixes for that, but it may require 10.4.8.
