.......this Friday.......

The Equalizer Cancelled at CBS

.....Robyn McCall’s vigilante days are over: CBS has cancelled The Equalizer after five seasons. That means this Sunday’s season finale (10/9c) will now serve as a series finale.

The cancellation follows CBS’ decision not to proceed with a Titus Welliver-led spinoff.

Season-to-date, The Equalizer is averaging 6.1 million total viewers (with Live+7 playback), down some 25% from its Season 4 audience. Out of the 14 dramas that CBS has aired this season, it ranks No. 12 (besting only the NCIS: Sydney and the cancelled S.W.A.T.). Not helping The Equalizer’s cause is the fact that it started Season 5 in an hour-than-later time slot (with Tracker now leading out of the well-watched 60 Minutes). Then at midseason, it got pushed back another hour, to lead out of Watson.........

....................done.................?!

One of the problems with the show is it aired on Sunday nights, and it NEVER started on time because of sports. I gave up trying to DVR the show because of that.

Another was Latifah.

Not an actor, and not even close to doing any action.

She's darn lucky it got five seasons, as it wasn't deserving of any of them.

OMG, she was not even a little bit credible as someone capable of chasing or fighting anyone. And because they made the character a woman, she just had to have a child. Tedious. I liked the original Equalizer series.

In one of the few episodes I saw, she and Chris Noth were walking in LIC. I knew the location: I used to have a client in the building they walked past.
