Warning Baseball: All Yankee TV all the time?
#1
Bronx Bunglers by tomorrow will have been on national TV four days in a row . Other than Yankee diehards and sadists, who cares? They are 10.5 games behind Boston have a losing record and are in a downward spiral. The Cubs and Marlins have better records! Too bad George. They are overpaid underachievers. The highly privileged return of the 45 year old Rocket is going to finish them off for good. No resentment from the other players for his salary and very special treatment? Ha! It is going to be divisive enough to finish them off. Even better if he falls on his face.

I am a happy camper. Just get them off my television. Washington Nationals preferred.

Why? The universal constant:

Money.

So many band-wagon Yankees fans who probably couldn't find the state of NY on a map let alone the Bronx.

See also: The Atlanta Braves effect. Went to a Pirates-Braves game at PNC park and there were more Braves fans than Pirates fans. of course, the Pirates being a mojor-league suck-fest probably helps, too.

Notre Dame LOL.

What bandwagon. Would you want to get on the Titantic while it sank!

Braves Fans in Pitt? Heck the Braves do not draw at home in spite the good teams they always have. Maybe it is the Chipper Jones effect. I also do not want the Pirates to go away. They provide such great players to other teams.

That's a laughable pile of crap. The yanks haven't picked up a single bandwagon fan since maybe '98. Every fan who isn't specifically for the Yanks hates them with a passion, yet they have the best away attendance of any team by far. Why? Everyone wants to be there when their team slays the mighty bombers.

Right on! Problem is I hate the Red Sox too. Talk about bandwagon! I have not seen a Red Sox cap since the year they they won. Then there were so many here in San Hosie I thought it was a mental illness virus. I don't hate the players except for Schilling but oh those fans and Boston in general. If you can go in to an area saloon, talk in their suspect foreign language to somebody for fifteen minutes and not get threatened with a fight you must be Gandhi.

I have been to Fenway a couple times and hated it because of the fans. The college bums in the Bleachers only go out to drink and fight. Please do not let them win again. The arrogance of their fans will be stupefying. Even the "fans" probably don't want it because they will have nothing to feel sorry for themselves about and whine about. Go Detroit!

If you sat in a different section (especially the no-alcohol ones out in left field) you'd have an entirely different experience.

The bleachers are like Mos Eisley - a wretched hive of scum and villanry (that having been said, if you're sitting out there and you're aware of the entertainment value the drunken sullys provide, it's friggin hysterical).

Too bad I do not like to fight so far away from home. I am also a coward. As drunk and high as they are in Wrigley you will never have that (they also have non-alky sections and have for many years) problem. Razzing? You betcha. I am trying hard to keep my brewski's under control but going to the ballpark just sucks me back in. (Godfather III.)

Who is Mos Eisley? Did he play 2nd base?

'minty, you can't possibly be suggesting they show the Cubbies … (unless maybe it's a Cubs/Yankees series) ….

Their lackluster performance is surprising, too, considering their stat lines this year as well as the dollars they threw around. Maybe getting rid of Dusty was premature … Seems like anyone could take it in the Central Division this year - and Milwaukee is doing just that.

Milwaukee is going to go down the rabbit hole fast. They are already showing indications. Padres look good. Beat the Gdmn Dodgers.
