I broke my 40mpg barrier today!
#1
I filled up my Scion xA automatic at the same station as last Tuesday. I had 413 miles on
the tank. I let it click 3 times and stopped. I put in 10.16 gallons of gas. That comes to 40.65 mpg.
I've been watching my speed better, keeping it between 65-67mph, If I see a red light
I let up on it and sometimes it's green by the time I get there (hence not having to stop as
much) and no jack rabbit starts. The majority of my commute is on the interstate. The most
I've got before was 39.4mpg. Anyway I'm smiling! After 14K miles I still love the car!

BTW: My other first was paying over $3/gal. for gas. It was $3.04/gal.

Yep- I rated 41mpg in my 2002 honda civic LX on a highway trip recently. Usually get 36 in my commute (city/ highway)..

Don't need no stinkin hybrid.. Can't afford no big truck.
(I have a co-worker who is selling his Expedition because he just bought an H3. We all told him he obviously gets paid too much. He laughed.)

I broke 30mpg in my Forester last fill up. I'll take that considering it's all-wheel drive. First time over $3/gal. today for me, as well.

I just spent $5 to fill up my motorcycle. I'm feeling the pinch.
