I bought some--and put them in some MacBooks and MBP (Sacramento Frys Grand Opening 5 weeks ago $15 AR). They are working fine. I ran a Memory test--no errors.

That being said---you can never go wrong with PWC memory.

OWC? Yah, I know, but this is half price. I wasn't going to upgrade my ram (currently 1gb total), but at $50 to double it, I'm considering.

I'm not sure what the limits ram-wise for Macbooks, but OWC's 2gb 5300 SO-Dimm for just $129 works great in my intel iMac. Having 3gb of memory is a night/day difference in the performance of that machine.

Crucial had some on sale the other day for $24 each, you might want to check there too.

Looks like they're not on sale anymore: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.a...h+White%29

your 1 gig of ram is on 2 512 chips

adding this 1 gig stick means you need to remove one of the 512s and replace it with the 1 gig -- getting a net gain of 512 megs -- 1.5 total

No. Removing my two 512's, adding two 1gbs.

Make sure you have 2 addresses--the Ram rebate is one per household and address/name
