iPhoto 7 on a G3?

I have a maxed out pismo without the g4 upgrade. i used pacifist to extract and install iphoto 7 out of the ilife 08 pkg. (this installed the library components as well as the main iPhoto 7 pkg) Thought i could coax it into launching, since there really aren't any processor intensive additions from iPhoto 6. Will not launch.... Hoping somebody might know where the G4 restriction is kept/or what it entails. Thanks. (running 10.4.11)

I don't have an answer on how to get it to install, but my impression is that there are definitely processor intensive additions to v7. Several aspects of it run much slower on my G5 than the previous version (I may have had iphoto 5 before though). I like it overall a lot, but it is the first time my G5 has started feeling "slow".

I got it to run, pretty brisk with my small collection of photos: just had to run 3 other installers in the pkg: Appleintermediatecodec, graphicsappsupport, and imagekit_tiger. I wouldn't try it with the 15,000 photos others have, but it launches immediately now for me.
