Max out the ram on your Santa Rosa Macbook for only $105
#1

I am thinking about this deal for my new Macbook. I have had very good luck with 1-800-4-memory in the past. Apple charges $850 for maxing out your Macbook ram and you don't get to keep the (2) 512MB dimms. This is obviously a much better deal.

It uses DDR2 667MHz ram:

1GB (two 512MB SO-DIMMs) of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300); two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB

I picked up a 2GB Transcend stick on Black Friday @ Fry's for $40 with no rebate. I also got a 1GB stick for $5 after rebate. Now I just need to get the MacBook.

I got the same 2GB stick. works great in my MBP C2D (non SR). Can't tell much difference over the 2GB though...
