Correct me if I'm wrong, but Malaria is a PARASITE, not a 'virus' or 'bacteria' , no ?

And the parasite has, in many cases, evolved to be immune to good old Quinine.

I'm pretty sure that it is a virus that multiplies inside red blood cells. When it reproduces it causes the blood cells to explode. I could just be full of it too.

Thanks for the link. There's a lot of talk about using more DDT to control mosquitos, but at best that's a temporary solution, as the mosquitos adapt.
