My kitchen is smelling goo-ood
#1
I'm baking a pumpkin pie for a work party tomorrow, and its heavenly aroma is starting to waft around. I'm hoping this will be extra good, as I ground fresh real cinnamon for a change, not the storebought pre-ground stuff, which is really Cassia. I would've ground the cloves fresh too, but I don't seem to have any whole. I did add a bunch of fresh ground black pepper for an accompanying kick to all the ginger I used.

Black pepper?! Oh, yuck. My ideal pumpkin pie doesn't kick. Sad

Nothing is more inviting and enveloping than a wonderful kitchen aroma.
