You mean all keyboards aren't washable?

No wonder I go through 8 or 9 keyboards a year.

Maybe spilling cokes on it, putting it under a spray of warm soapy water in the sink, putting it the dishwasher, etc., that makes them stop working correctly?

Lots of people wash their keyboards and there seems to be at least a 50% chance everything will work fine afterwards. If you take proper precautions the chance of success seems to be much higher. Your mileage may vary.
