[quote maco] So of the surprise songs were: Highway to Hell & Rocky Mtn. Way.
So, he realizes his own music sucks?
J/k!
Brender and Eddie were still goin steady
In the summer of seventy-five
When they decided the marriage would be
At the end of July
Everyone said they were crazy
Brenda you know that you're much too lazy
And Eddie could never afford to live that kind of life

Haven't seen him live for a whole bunch of years, but 35 years ago, the gaggle of crazies I hung w/ must have seen him 12 or 15 times. Have a poster in the office at home advertising him playing in the college coffee house for $0.50 - and he had hair (didn't we all?)!
Also found an old radio show from the campus station where I read copy for a concert in Boston, circa 1971 where the line-up was Leo Kotke, Liv Taylor and special guest - Billy Joel. Cost? $4, $5, and $6.
Always a straight up, great show. He's a fine performer.

My musical tastes run the full spectrum. I would even go to a Celine Dion concert, if someone gave me tickets. This was the first time that I have seen Billy Joel. He is very entertaining and has a great sense of humor. I also enjoyed the musicians that are touring with him.

It's nice to see entertainment figures age gracefully.

At the concert he said: "This really isn't Billy Joel, this is Billy Joel's father"

[quote maco]He is very entertaining
Well...he IS The Entertainer.
Our receptionist at work doesn't know who Billy Joel is. Or ABBA. Or the fact that New York is both a city and a state. Come to think of it, she's just weapons grade stupid.
