[quote $tevie]What the hell, I don't care if he rides his wife's jet every day, for free.
.
In this day and age, I hope he rides just his wife.
I'm from Ma. and never heard this French thing.
I do remember something about a horse.
(and being an a$$) :-)

There is way too much obsessing about my passing wisecrack, ya'll. Doesn't anybody understand sarcasm anymore?
You certainly proved my point about being fixated on trivia!
What I was saying was, who gives a tiny rat's ass if McCain is flying in his wife's jet?
Is he going to start an unnecessary war and run the economy into the dumpster? THAT is what you ought to be thinking about not this stupid shite.

RgrF thinks anything that's not approvably Left Wing must be "Right wing". Are those really the only two choices?
Even French people don't like French people anymore. Doesn't have much to do with the way anybody votes. The moment Kerry was nominated, the Village Voice predicted he'd lose. I didn't believe it at the time. After four miserable years, how hard can it be to beat his opponent? I thought his campaign had a better chance than Gore's to not only win, but win decisively. I was wrong. Maybe voters just don't like Ivy League New England candidates enough to tip the balance. Leaving aside that Bush is from Connecticut. Maybe the just didn't like Kerry, or his hair, or his wife. Or his weak campaign. Who knows. Maybe midwestern Democrats have a better chance.

PLEASE get over the French thing, it was an example of how stupidly the public and the media discuss the candidates for president. And that is all it was. Maybe I should have used the example of his Swiss cheese choice. Or Ed Muskie crying. Or Nixon's sweaty upper lip. For the last time, I was not interested in discussing/defending John F*cking Kerry.

Is anyone else offended that these three senators are still getting paid their salaries to do the people's work, but are instead spending millions of $$ to campaign?
If I were the constituent of any of them, I'd be mad as he!!.
It is also WAY offensive to me the millions of $$ that are being spend on this campaign.

I think it always has been and will be standard practice as long as we allow politicians to run for other positions while in office.
