I upgraded to the latest version of flash as the Vanguard website demanded.

It didn't' matter; features that have worked for years are now broken.

There's a Flash fix slowly coming from MM and Apple -- the newest version Flash content is broken in Safari and Firefox (Camino, etc) in OSX. Patience is advised. Nothing you can do about it anyway.

I just tried it with Firefox and it worked seemingly without any problems. I have a 1.5GHZ G4 Powerbook with Mac OS 10.4.11. Do you have the lasted Flash reader?

It has been like this for a while now on both Mac and PC on some sites for me. Not sure on the Mac side but I remember you had to completely uninstall Flash on the PC before you could try a fix with an upgrade. Even then it has not fixed everything.

Flash has sure become a bloated POS IMHO. Way to go Adobomedia!

Same here - there are some sites that will drag any browser I use 9Safari, FF, Camio) to a dead stop

BuyDig.com is one of them. I noticed eCost has added some type of moving type banner
and now it drags to a dead stop. I really hate flash right now.

Works for me, Leopard, Safari. You might be experiencing the Quicktime Plugins issue as referenced below:
