Jewelry appraisal in NYC?

Trying to get a $$ value on a pristine gold necklace I received a long time ago; a keepsake but may need to sell!

Don't have much of a clue on where to start. Any recommendations on stores that will reliably appraise this or where I can sell? ( I'm based in NYC so am trying to sift through the gazillion jewelry stores here).

I work with a great jeweler here in NJ, just steps from the train station. I've bought our engagement rings, wedding bands and more from him. If you don't mind a 35-minute train ride from Penn Station, send me a PM.
