No folding for a week?
#1
I usually have folding results every other day or so. But I have no folding activity on the stats for a week now. What is up with that? I upgraded to the latest version but can not think of anything else to do. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you sure that your machine is still folding? Activity Monitor or Increase will tell you for sure.

What stats page are you checking? Sometimes the stats sites, or their connection into Stanford are sluggish. Probably not by a week and a half, but I guess it could be possible.

Edit - i forgot about the expiration thingie. Your machine will fold successfully, even with a version of the software that has expired, as long as the process isn't stopped, or the machine restarted, like Harbourmaster says.

Here are a few things to keep in mind.

The "beta" software does expire and need to be updated from time to time, If you are using inCrease it will sometimes continue to process workunits even after the beta timeframe has expired as long as the machine is not restarted.

There is a bug that affects some machines in the latest version of inCrease that will cause it not to run.

I have seen problems with the SMP products where they will simply stop folding in the middle of a work unit for no apparent reason. Once restarted the WU will continue until completed.

There was a problem with one of the Stanford servers last week.

If you use the Extreme Overclockers site for tracking user stats there was a problem with there server for the last 2 days that has been corrected now.

Do you have an expired Beta of the Folding client on your machine? The beta does need to be reloaded periodically. Since your folding ended right about the time a unit started in late April might finish, it looks like a possibility.
