A good reason why Apple neglects the mini...

[quote AllGold]Part of that is the mini is overpriced. When the Superdrive mini costs $800 and you don't even get a keyboard and mouse it's no surprise that people will pay a little more for a better spec'ed and more complete system. If it were $500-$600 more people would buy it but obviously less profit for Apple.
AllGold, In our case, I can't agree about the Mini being overpriced. At least, not when you consider that $700 bought an Intel Core Duo 1.66 with Superdrive and maxed out memory and this also included a really excellent 17" widescreen monitor, At the time I bought it I felt it was a bargain. This was a year and a half ago and at the time it fit exactly the size and function that my S/O really wanted for a price that I could afford.

I compared this with iMacs at the time and found that I couldn't have bought a new 17" model with Superdrive for anywhere near my price, plus my S/O preferred the separate monitor setup with a CPU that could be easily hidden.

Oh well, they do say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Smile
