I'm with billb. My lovely wife (who is, IMHO, the hottest woman on the planet, despite her claims to the contrary) was even more attractive when she was carrying our children. And yeah, it's a reproductive imperative thing- we're just wired that way.

Doesn't make it 'sick'. In fact, cultures that consider pregnancy to be some sort of 'illness' that requires women to be 'shunned' or 'secluded' during pregnancy are, IMHO, sick.
